Building Blocks Daycare
Overview
Building Blocks Day Care is located on the S.E. corner of the Grande Prairie Regional College Campus. We are a caring progressive day care focusing on high quality child care for Grande Prairie Regional College Students, Staff and Community Families.
We moved into our new facility in November of 2007 and are a fully accredited day care center.
Objectives
The On Campus Day Care Society is a non-profit organization that facilitates the operation of a high quality, developmentaly appropriate child-care program for students, staff, faculty, and community members at Grande Prairie Regional College.
- To provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment for children from the ages birth to 5 years, and
- To meet the individual child's developmental needs in the social, physical, language, intellectual, creative and emotional areas.
Child Care
We provide complete child care for 74 children in total, ranging from 13 Months to 5 years of age. Our spaces are divided up as follows:

Ratios
Our children to staff ratios are in adherence to strict government regulations and are as follows:

Placement
Placement is based on availability of space.
Hours
We are open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday year-round.
* Note: We are closed on Statutory Holidays with the exception of Easter Monday.

Staffing
Our caring, highly skilled staff are required to have government certification and current First Aid.
Facility
We are proud of our Six bright, clean and well-equipped rooms, which provide easy and convenient access for parents to visit. Our children enjoy three fun outdoor play areas with plenty of equipment and grassy areas
Please be aware that there is a wait list from which we choose our children in consecutive order , taking the children of the students & staff of GPRC as priority.
If you would like to be on our wait list you must come down in person in order to be put on our list. If you live out of town then we will take applications over the phone or fax.
