What is Blackboard?
Blackboard is a learning management system that allows instructors to put their classes on the Internet and interact with their students online without having to be experts in HTML. These online courses can accompany face-to-face classes or become the backbone of a distance education course. Blackboard course spaces allow instructors to post online copies of handouts and presentations, create and deliver quizzes that automatically record students' performance, run and monitor discussion boards, post important announcements, or receive electronic documents from students.
