GPRC offers a variety of services which help to equalize educational opportunities for students with disabilities.  The Disability Resource Provider promotes and coordinates a variety of accommodations, on an individual case basis, to make your chosen program workable for you.  You will need to meet the admission requirements for your program.

GPRC strives to ensure a fair, equitable and accessible environment for students with Disabilities or Medical Conditions. The goal of providing academic accommodations is to establish an “equitable playing field” for all students within the postsecondary environment.

Postsecondary students seeking disability or medically related accommodations and services or funding for assistive services and technology, are required to provide documentation from a qualified professional such as a physician, psychologist, audiologist, ophthalmologist, or other licensed specialist. The documentation should clearly outline the impact the disability or condition has on the student in an academic setting. The Disability Resource Provider will use this documentation, along with other information obtained during interviews, assessment and trials, to determine appropriate disability related accommodations and supports.

Policies and Guidelines

GPRC encourages academically qualified individuals with disabilities to seek admission to its programs. GPRC provides accessible facilities and a supportive learning environment within the limits of available resources and with due regard to the rights of other members of the College Community. Support Services are addressed on an individual basis, while maintaining the academic integrity of the institution. GPRC will ensure that persons with a disability are considered for admission to any program for which they are academically qualified within the quota restrictions of the program.
