Electric Vehicle Technology and Service On Line Theory (EVT01)
Description
First Intake starts July 28, 2024. Students must register in both EVT01 and EVT02.
Continuing Education is excited to announce the new Electric Vehicle Technology and Service Micro-Credential. This micro-credential prepares Automotive Service Technicians (AST) to safely diagnose, service and repair high-voltage electric vehicles. Learners will build upon their previous knowledge of conventional vehicle systems and develop the knowledge and skills required to confidently work on the majority of electric vehicles on our roads.
Prerequisite
You must be a Certified Automotive Service Technician (AST), or a registered AST 3rd or 4th year apprentice.
Delivery Format
The course comprises a 6-hour online self-paced safety module (EVT01) that must be completed before an intensive 30-hour classroom/shop training period (EVT02) at the NWP Grande Prairie campus. Students register in both EVT01 and EVT02.
Price
$1,499, which includes access to online learning resources and materials. Students must register in both EVT01 and EVT02 but pay fees only in EVT01.
Learner Requirements
For the online self-paced safety modules learners must have access to a computer and a stable internet connection. For the classroom/shop training portion learners must have reliable transportation to and from the NWP Grande Prairie campus.
